Official Statement From

Tickles and Pokes llc. Red Tent Revival 501c4
June 6, 2020

We consider Columbus, Ohio home and our neighbors, family.
Over the past 2 years we have engaged our community in period poverty awareness and support while also working to amend HR1882.
We have learned so much and have had the wonderful fortune to meet and connect with truly inspiring people.
We have been made humble by this work and desire to always do better and to grow with our community.

As a small Columbus business and nonprofit we serve the marginalized members of our community.
We work to create Equity for all and in this work we have learned silence is death. We will not be silent.

For too many years we have watched as members of the Columbus City Police have abused their authority. There are cases of CPD inflicting property damage, inciting riots, assaulting innocent people and even committing murder without consequences.

This past week we have witnessed over and over as police brutalized peaceful protestors and even our own local and state representatives.
We live in fear and worry over the safety and concerns for our friends and neighbors, who have lived in fear every day over concerns for their very lives.

The increasing pressure from a militarized police force has our city feeling more like a dystopian novel than the city we all know and love.

We can not go back to the way things were nor do we want to. The old system is exactly why we march. We need accountability now!

Mayor Andrew J. Ginther and Police Chief Quinlan must resign! They have had long enough to address the increasing violence and murder of POC attributed to CPD. Their actions and inaction's alike speak volumes. Columbus, Ohio deserves answers! We deserve to live in Peace!
Our Black Brothers and Sisters deserve justice and to be able to breathe and to LIVE!!

We are dedicated to continue to support and lift up the voices of those who have been marginalized.

Even though our business and nonprofit are focused on menstruation equity... Our whole purpose and drive is to create EQUITY for ALL.

Black Lives Matter.

Justice Reform Now.

We stand in solidarity with every person who seeks Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness for ALL.

Thank you~
